This is the question I found myself asking God one morning as I prayed by the lake. I actually recorded my prayer in audio form and wished I could upload it here but it went like this;
“Lord you brought us here, I feel connected here. I feel like this is where you want us Lord. My soul and spirit is so at rest, it is incredible. I feel like my soul has been planted here for decades. Wayne feels the same way too God so I know you have a reason to bring us here to Lake Park.
Lord the question I have for you today is to show me the path you have for me. Show me the work you have for us to do here. For me individually, for Wayne individually and for us together. Lord you know I love teaching your word, and I am very passionate about the Gorgeous Woman Movement. I am also passionate maybe to a lesser degree about leadership, integrity, and purposeful living. Purposeful leadership.
Father God I come before you Lord and I just ask you to show me if they can be combined, show me if I need to choose one. Lord you are my Maker you are my Creator. You know all things. In Jesus Name. Amen.”
Less than an hour after praying that prayer I received a phone call from a connection I met on LinkedIn asking whether or not I offered business coaching. I was taken aback for a couple reasons. First, I had not really promoted myself and was not even in my new city for a month, and second, her question and my affirmative response indicated to me that God may have simply just answered my prayer.
To further confirm my direction, this wonderful woman told me that she chose me as a business coach because I embrace my faith. God was showing me that His gifts and the desires He has placed in me can be combined to both bring Him glory and me, delight!
The lesson here is simply: 𝒜𝓈𝓀 𝒢𝑜𝒹 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓌𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓌𝒶𝓃𝓉!
Matthew 7:7 says, ‘Continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will open for you.’
I am happy to report that in a relatively short period of time, the Lord kept opening doors for me to work with wonderful Christian women who are seeking to run their businesses with integrity and purpose, and who are also open to growing in their walk with God.
The remainder of that week was filled with incidences of God’s grace and confirmation of His direction in our lives. We met people of different cultures, beliefs and backgrounds but we all shared the most important thing of all in common: 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩❤️❤️
Here is a video of me on my way to check out a new church 😊.
Thank you for following my journey. Please be kind enough to share with a friend who may need to be encouraged, and also leave a comment on the blog.
If you are also on a spiritual journey, I would love to hear about what God is saying to you. Also, if you would like to join me and some other women who are seeking to know God better, I invite you to join our Circle starting January 20, 2020. Click to find out more.
Until next week, take care!
